As of late Premiumize.me offers its own app for Android. So far it is only available for smartphones and tablets in the Google Play Store, but as Premiumize.me confirms, the app for Android TV and Fire TV will follow. In addition, the app is also to be made available for iOS devices, although Premiumize.me says it will lack functions that Apple has not allowed in its App Store. Whether the app is also available as .apk or .ipa file for sideloading has not been confirmed yet, but currently it is not.
The app offers many other useful functions, so links can be added and even a magent-link handler is on board. The cloud storage can be accessed easily and even an offline mode is integrated. Videos can also be streamed directly in the app and according to Premiumize.me streaming via Chromecast will soon be possible.
In addition, Premiumize.me is finally expanding its access options to the inclusive cloud storage: In addition to FTP, which Premiumize.me has been offering for some time, WebDAV is now also being offered, but with a snag. While FTP doesn’t really work well with Premiumize.me and shows more error messages than files, WebDAV worked very well in my test. Not a single error was displayed and I was able to stream and download files. Unfortunately there is a snag: the access is still limited to the read access, that means you can’t upload or change files. But according to Premiumize.me the function is still to come.
